Well, I hope you missed me. I missed you. There was no blog post last week because I lost the blog. Not only did I lose the blog, but my contacts and three email accounts were absconded as well.

All of this happened as I was trying to sync my Blackberry and desktop mail. Syncing mail was the primary reason I got the Blackberry. I find I am not alone. There is a multitude of disgruntles like myself who bought a BB to sync their mail only to find out they couldn't--exactly--without a lot of angst and Diet Coke--and help from some of our new best friends in India.

For me there are few fleeting moments upon awakening when I can see the goal through the electronic fog and I run for it. Then I have to pee, and I've lost it again.

I am having some noteworthy experiences along the way. I got to speak with the BB software folks who live below ground level and subsist on Red Bull and Cheetos. It really impressed the Time Warner guys that I actually got to speak with live BB software people, never mind that they couldn't tell me how to sync my mail either. But they did tell me there was no reason why I shouldn't be able to sync just because they couldn't tell me how. Made me feel just every so better.

I know it can be done. Somewhere out there is the person who has done it. I just have to find him/her.
To keep hysteria at bay while trying to regather all my email, I filmed the chickens.

This is my retort to all naysayers who contend that urban dwellers have lost touch with their roots and yoga instructors who tell me I need to go outside and stand barefoot in the dirt to align my chakras. I don't need alignment. I live in an apartment community with chickens.

So There!

  1. Oh Jo! You made my day with this blog! I read it to Samantha over the phone while she was waiting to get on the A&M bus to go home after a long, hard second day at college! It made her laugh and also said it made her day!

The chickens are looking well after their molting and are probably wondering where their royalties are after becoming famous! Good luck with the BB!
